Job Description

Under the supervision of the Owners, this position is responsible for all flooring types (VCT, laminate, tile, wood, vinyl, and carpet), cabinets, all counter top types, hardware, and commercial flooring installs. Must have knowledge of current installation methods and repair methods. The candidate will be required to be flexible and have the ability to multitask from day to day.

Primary Job Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • Install all flooring types (VCT, laminate, tile, wood, vinyl, and carpet), cabinets, all counter top types, hardware, and commercial flooring material installs
  • Working with our Design Specialists, Owners and our customers to ensure jobs get completed on time and to exacting standards

Education and Experience:

  • A High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of the flooring, counter top & cabinet business
  • Some minor accounting / bookkeeping knowledge required
  • Must have good command of the English language, oral and written
  • Must be able to follow schedule and work independently
  • Must pass work eligibility requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Bending and kneeling for extended periods of time
  • Required to sit for long periods of time.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid WA State Driver’s License
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • Must be Licensed, Bonded, Insured
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to Pass a Background Check
  • Able to work Monday – Saturday
  • Good with measuring and cutting flooring materials (demonstratable)
  • Able to install hardwood floors (Stairs, Baseboards, Transitions)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable
  • Communicative
  • Ability to use all needed tools
  • Strong work ethic and good time management abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: DOE

Experience: 1 year (Required), 2 years (preferred)

  • Flooring Installation:
  • 2+ years’ experience installing hardwoods
  • 2+ years’ experience refinishing wood floors
  • 2+ years’ experience tile installation
  • 2+ years’ experience LVP/LVT/VCT installation
  • 2+ years’ experience Laminate Installation
  • Full installation process knowledge to work with Design Specialist, Vendors, & Customers
  • Countertop Installation:
    • Installation & fitting
    • Full installation process knowledge to work with Design Specialist & Vendors, & Customers
  • Cabinetry Installation:
    • Construction & Fitting
    • Full installation process knowledge to work with Design Specialist & Vendors, & Customers

Work Environment:
Installers generally work in a residential/commercial environment. Routine exposure to frequent and heavy lifting, moderate noise, outdoor elements (heat and cold) and airborne particles. In-Home Measuring and Quoting travel is required.
