Design Specialists are responsible for assisting the Owners in the daily operations and maintenance of the design sales floor, sales flow process, and customer relations. Individuals in this role are focused on supporting the store, operating and selling processes, customer service and helping the store achieve or exceed sales and profit goals on a daily, monthly and annual basis. A key accountability is ensuring overall customer satisfaction throughout the sales and product delivery processes.

- High School graduate, GED or equivalent required
- High School level math skills required
Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:
- Six to Twelve months of related sales/retail/customer service experience; flooring knowledge a plus
- Previous warehouse or stockroom experience preferred
- Valid WA State Driver’s License
- Valid Insurance
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to pass a background check
Computer Skills / Special Equipment Knowledge:
- Experience using a Point-Of-Sale (POS) system
- Experience using MS Office Suite
- Experience using CAD software
- Outstanding telephone skills
- Ability to drive/operate a forklift preferred (forklift certification required prior to operating equipment, not provided by company)
General Work Schedule:
Will generally work a standard full-time or part-time workweek (depending on designation); fulltime (30 to 40 hours) including weekends, evenings, holidays and occasional overtime based on business and customer needs. There is no “on call” requirement for this position.
Design Specialists generally work in a warehouse and retail sales environment that involves the use of office equipment, such as computers and telephones, machinery/mechanical equipment, ladders and heavy equipment (forklift). Routine exposure to frequent and heavy lifting, moderate noise, outdoor elements (heat and cold) and airborne particles. In-Home Measuring and Quoting travel is required.
